Abstract

Empirical treatment should be planned for patients admitted to the hospital with an initial diagnosis of COVID-19, pneumonia and severe pneumonia, taking into account bacterial and viral infections. The choice of antibiotic to be used in empirical treatment is based on the patient's clinical condition (nosocomial pneumonia, nosocomial pneumonia, sepsis, co-morbidities, immunosuppression, medical treatment in the last 3 months, previous antibiotic use), local epidemiological data and treatment guidelines.
