Abstract

Cytostatic chemotherapy used in the treatment of solid tumors causes neutropenia of varying degrees and duration. During standard chemotherapy, the frequency of grade III-IV neutropenia is 30-40%, which increases the risk of developing nosocomial infections in oncology patients. Currently, the problem of bacterial infections caused by gram-positive microorganisms is constantly increasing all over the world, and S. aureus is considered one of the main causes of outpatient and nosocomial bacteremia, pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections.
